Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council is Hiring a Family Intervention Specialist Near Punta Gorda, FL
- Responsible for providing services to individuals and families referred by child welfare agencies.
- Successfully interact with individual referred and schedule an intake appointment within outlined periods.
- Review FSFN and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to review history at time of referral.
- Conduct screening and make appropriate referrals; including substance use or mental health assessments.
- Coordinate assessment and recommended treatment.
- Maintain communication to encourage treatment engagement.
- Maintain communication with referral source.
- Document all interactions and services in EMR and FSFN.
- Bachelors in social or behavioral health.
- One year of experience working with substance involved individuals/families, as well as knowledge of child abuse/neglect issues.
- Must have a valid Florida drivers license, and be willing to provide services in a community setting.
- Good computer skills are required, as staff member will document an electronic medical record.
- Knowledge of child abuse/neglect issues and the child welfare system
- Ability to use Motivational Interviewing preferred
- Ability to provide services in the community
- Must maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and display appropriate work demeanor and boundaries.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Ability to use a computer and learn the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
