Position Purpose
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) teacher works under the supervision of the Head of School. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing teacher (DHH teacher) will provide 30 minutes of direct specialized instruction (2x/week for a total of 240 minutes per month), a minimum of 30 minutes per month of indirect services to parents, general education teachers, and/or special education staff to help support student goals, annual evaluation, and progress monitoring. In addition, the DHH teacher will provide in-service training and resources to general education teachers and service providers to help better understand the needs of DHH students and support the student's educational needs and self-advocacy skills.
