Colorado League of Charter Schools is Hiring an Event Sales Specialist Near Denver, CO

Job Title: Event Sales Specialist (Contract)

Term: Five-month Contract

Pay: Hourly Plus Commission

Location: Hybrid/Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Event Vendor Sales Contractor to join our team on a project basis starting July 8th. The contractor will identify, recruit, and manage vendors for two major events. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong sales acumen, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit potential vendors for TWO upcoming conferences.
  • Find and develop new vendor prospects through research and outreach.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
  • Ensure all vendor spaces are filled and meet event standards.
  • Coordinate with event planning teams to understand vendor needs and event logistics.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to vendors before, during, and after events.
  • Track sales metrics and report on vendor performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in the event or hospitality industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate event timelines.
  • Familiarity with event planning and vendor management software is a plus.

Deliverables:

  • Build a list of at least 500 NEW prospects (who are not current prospects)
  • Generate sales of 25 new vendors (not previously sold in the prior three years) for at least $100,000 combined. 

Contract Duration:

  • Ideal Start Date: July 8, 2024
  • Duration: 5 months from start date 
  • Weekly averaging at least 20 hours

Compensation:

  • For Building a list of NEW and for other duties as assigned: Hourly: at $30/hour
  • Commission: For Generating sales of at least 10 new vendors and $50,000 in combined sales, a monthly bonus of $800 (IF targets are met) and a contract end bonus ($2500) if the overall goal is achieved.
