Colorado Legal Services (CLS) is Colorado's statewide nonprofit legal aid program, with thirteen offices providing civil legal assistance to low-income Coloradans throughout the state. POSITION SUMMARY: 

PLEASE NOTE: This position is for INTERNAL applicants only. You must be a current employee of Colorado Legal Services to apply. We are looking to hire a collaborative and driven Security & Systems Analyst for our four-person Information Technology and Innovation Unit. This individual will work with the Unit and other CLS staff to assess and improve the effectiveness of security and informational technology systems, to help protect the organization’s data and networks, and to help leverage technology to create more efficient processes and systems for CLS. This is a 1-year term position.

This individual will also: 

• Help protect sensitive data, company information and networks by automating workflows of various security operations and implementing software security features
• Gather and assess research including user feedback on how to improve the effectiveness and user experience of technology and security systems
• Upgrade data and security systems and enable security software integration
• Conduct training programs for security protocols

• Identify the current state of IT systems, and provide data-driven advice on how to expand or refine its operations, including security efforts, to meet company needs in coordination with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements
• Manage the set-up and configuration of systems, including automation of tasks, including repetitive functions
• Effectively document and share all work product

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a closely related field (although experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree) and must have at least four years of experience as a Security and/or Systems Analyst or similar position.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Excellent communication, technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong technical aptitude, with initiative toward learning new skills and assignments.
• Willingness to learn, support and be an expert in existing and innovative technologies.
• Time-management skills and the ability to establish and meet attainable deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
• Ability to accept constructive feedback and customer/user input.
• Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
• Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively, and to communicate effectively with everyone.
• Understand the challenges of poverty in relation to access to legal help and technology.
• Possess a passion for and commitment to helping our applicant and client populations.
• Have a working knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and security requirements around their use.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

We offer a generous plan that includes 100% employer paid premiums for employee health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance as well as partial employer paid premiums for spouses/dependents, based on a sliding scale. Additionally, CLS offers a $350.00 monthly stipend (to be used as you choose), generous paid time-off and 12.5 paid holidays per year.
