Hunter Douglas Group is Hiring a Photography & Video Production Manager Near Broomfield, CO

**Description**

*Position at Hunter Douglas Inc.*

**Summary/Objective**

Responsible for planning and organizing off- and on-site photo and video shoots as well as specific administrative functions. Will work in close collaboration with Managing Art Directors and product teams to deliver on-brand, exceptional photography in the most cost-effective and efficient manner possible. Key responsibilities include photo and video budgeting, scouting, scheduling, working with the creative directors to book stylists and homes, hiring freelance talent when necessary, identifying and booking photographers, videographers and retouchers, managing the retouching process, and handing off final files to appropriate team members for storage and dissemination. Responsibilities will also include identifying and vetting new vendors as well as maintaining relationships and retainers (where applicable) with existing vendors.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions which the salaried/exempt employee may be expected to perform):

* Work directly with creative/art directors, stylists and product teams on the development of the shoots.

* Negotiate rates and book above the line crew (photographers, directors, DPs) and below the line (crew), plus models, hair and make-up artists, tailors, animal talent, locations, fit models, studios, caterers and production assistants.

* Coordinate and secure all travel arrangements, insurance, and permits.

* Acquire certificates of insurance (i.e. investigate property value, number/names of insurers, discuss status and condition of property pre-shoot assigning, etc.).

* Generate shoot estimates.

* Manage the actual on set production with freelance production support as needed.

* Negotiate usage fees with agents for archival imagery & footage.

* Negotiate retainers with vendors.

* Reconcile all shoot related billing and expenses.

* Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

* Position requires regular and predictable attendance.

* Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.

**Education / Experience Requirements** Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of experience in shoot production primarily and event/project management or other related work experience. Experience with art buying and working with legal.

**Qualifications & KSAs** An employee in this position, upon appointment, should have the equivalent of the following:

* Must have expert vendor management and negotiation skills and ability to work with suppliers on issues related to pricing and terms of delivery.

* Knowledge of top talent in terms of directors

* Solid understanding of the creative vision

* Keep up with current trends, types of files

* Knowledge of luxury interior design and soft goods

* Expert knowledge of photography, Photoshop, videography and the creative development process.

* Solid knowledge of computer use and software such as Word, Excel and SAP.

* Must work well under pressure and have expert knowledge of how to communicate with people during tense or stressful situations.

* Solid knowledge of the legal aspects of agency and photography agreements.

* Solid knowledge of Product and Management.

* Solid understanding of a manufacturing environment.

* Superior skill in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with department representatives and suppliers.

* Expert ability to effectively organize and prioritize multiple projects.

* Strong ability to troubleshoot and develop problem solving skills to improve upon job efficiency, quality, and overall production results.

* Strong ability to communicate verbally and in written form on a one-to-one or group basis.

* Must be highly detail-oriented

* Negotiation and budget management skills

* Strong ability to multi-task / juggle multiple projects simultaneously

* Ability to work independently

* Must have a clean, valid driver license

* Ability to travel by car or by plane approximately 50% of the time (primarily to L.A. and N.Y.C.)

**Additional Information** (Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $89,000 bonus eligibility up to 10% benefits
