As a Cardiac Procedure Medical Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling a variety of cardiology procedures, ensuring seamless communication between patients, physicians, and medical staff. This role requires excellent customer service skills, proficiency in scheduling software, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Coordinate and schedule cardiology procedures.
• Ensure all necessary pre-procedure preparations are communicated and scheduled.
• Contact patients to confirm procedure dates, time and location.
• Provide patients with pre-procedure instructions and answer any questions they may have.
• Handle rescheduling or cancellations as needed and promptly inform all relevant parties.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure scheduling aligns with availability and departmental protocols.
• Assist with the preparation of procedure-related documents and materials
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the cardiology department.
• Train to support front desk

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience in medical scheduling
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word/Excel

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in patient environment or scheduling in Cardiology
• Experience with successful management of high-volume contact
• Experience in EPIC EMR, ADP Workforce Now

Physical Requirements

This position requires full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a typical medical clinic and/or business office environment.
