Position Summary:Under the direct supervision of the Contract and Procurement Manager, the Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for supply chain data management, data analytics, pricing assurance, and general customer service support.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Data Management:
  • Maintains the Supply Chain Information Systems (SCIS) Item Master on a regular basis by adding new items, performing updates, and inactivating non-current records.
  • Manages the Price Assurance Program, working with manufacturers and distributors to ensure Local and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts are being utilized appropriately with appropriate markups. Reviews and manages invoice disputes for contracted items and conducts pricing audits to ensure contract pricing is paid. Works with the Accounts Payable team to secure credits for any overpayment.
  • Provides data management and reporting services to end users, such as data imports and structured and custom reporting.
Data Analytics:
  • Responsible for compiling and maintaining financial and statistical reports. Creates and develops system supply scorecards to promote best-practice utilization, vendor contract compliance, and standardization from data within SCIS.
  • Primary source of ad hoc supply reporting needs in support of Supply Chain and organizational initiatives.
  • Maintains data integrity in SCIS, assuring information is accurate and can be extracted for analysis.
Customer Support:
  • Supports regional Procurement leads in their support of site-level customer service. Assists in monitoring conformance with Contracting and Purchasing standards for products and services.
  • Assists in monitoring adherence to any supplier-defined product allocation process. Facilitates product substitutions on back-ordered products and sources alternate products.
  • Works with the Accounts Payable team to problem-solve as needed.

Qualifications Qualifications:
  • Completed or in-process Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Business, Economics, Healthcare Management/Policy, or a related field preferred.
  • Zero to three (0-3) years of supply chain management experience. This is an entry-level position.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and assist in contracting and cost reduction initiatives in a positive and supportive manner.
  • Ability to manage self and environment when dealing with peers, management, other functional disciplines, and vendor representatives.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to produce professional documents in each program and incorporate pivot tables, charts/graphs, and document redline functionality.
  • Entry to intermediate knowledge of enterprise-level P2P and contract management systems with the ability to become advanced in knowledge.
  • Must possess strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

  • High-speed, reliable internet connection to ensure uninterrupted communication and access to necessary systems and tools.
  • Quiet and private work environment to maintain confidentiality and minimize background noise during calls.
  • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools, such as video conferencing software, instant messaging platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
  • Compliance with all security and privacy policies and protocols and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Travel:
  • This role doesn’t require travel; however, it is a hybrid role, with the expectation of being on-site in the intended region at least two (2) days each week.
Physical Requirements for the Job:
  • Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs.
