Colt's Manufacturing Company, LLC is Hiring an Accounts Payable Associate Near West Hartford, CT
Key duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Match incoming invoices to receipts on the Received Not Invoiced Report and vouchering matched invoices into the system to await payment.
- Process invoices for services rendered versus those for material purchased. These invoices require approval from the requestor of the service prior to vouchering them.
- Timely investigate invoices that do not have corresponding receipts on the Accrual Report. Determine the problem and contact the individual necessary to bring to resolution.
- Clearly communicate verbally, or in writing, to the vendor and/or inter-company personnel what is needed to resolve problem invoices.
- Contact Buyers with any questions regarding pricing discrepancies, quantity differences, etc.
- Prepare payments weekly by check or wire.
- Obtain second signature from an approved check signer when the amount of the check is equal to or greater than $5,000.00.
- Mail or distribute checks following specific instructions submitted to A/P. Send appropriate back-up with the check when required.
- File invoices and checks in the Accounts Payable file room.
- Review and approve employee expense reports.
Two to four years of experience, in a fast paced, high volume Accounts Payable Department, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Sales and use tax knowledge in a manufacturing environment is also helpful. Attention to detail and to accuracy is a must. Experience with computers is essential as Colt utilizes the Epicor and CSI system. Some knowledge/experience of both Microsoft Word & Excel required.
