[Position Description]

The Program Coordinator provides leadership in managing, planning, and implementing comprehensive post-secondary adult vocational programs to support College, campus, and departmental goals, ensuring compliance with programmatic accreditation and licensure, internal consistency, and graduate outcomes that meet workplace and placement expectations. Responsibilities include participating in budget preparation and fiscal administration, curriculum development and coordination, determination of teaching assignments, supervision and evaluation of faculty, design and operation of program facilities, and selection/coordination of program-specific external facilities and instruction. The Coordinator also provides professional leadership and support for teaching faculty, serves as a mentor and facilitator for assigned faculty, and fosters an environment of creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility.

[Qualifications]

• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience as a massage therapist.
• Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree in Massage Therapy or a related field.
• Must be a Certified Massage Therapist.
• CPR License/Card required.

[Requirements]

• Proficiency in Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and other specialized massage techniques.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Must be knowledgeable in course content and effective in directing/evaluating student learning and laboratory performance.
• Must be knowledgeable of state regulations and policies, as well as those of the occupational department.
• Ability to perform physical examinations when necessary.
• Experience in educational theory and techniques to effectively manage faculty.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office computer software systems, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
