Summary
Columbia Gorge Family Medicine is hiring a Medical Records Specialist to join our amazing team! We have been in Hood River for over 30 years providing all members of our community with primary care. The Medical Records Specialist supports the daily functioning of the Medical Records Department, providing overall organization, management, and security of all patient records. Must support clinic philosophy and goals and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
Essential Duties
1. Manage OnBase where electronic faxes are received, filing directly into patient’s chart, printing and distributing to the appropriate department/provider
2. Answering phone calls/routing calls/creating telephone encounters, managing emails, messages from patients and CGFM staff
3. Managing signed documents by providers, either by faxing or calling patient to pick up; scanning document into chart
4. Scanning documents into patient chart, attaching lab and x-ray results to orders
5. Processing Release of Information (ROI) within 3-5 business days, some requests on a STAT basis, even though the standard is 15 days
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
