What you’ll do:
The Brass Tacks
  • Contribute to managing day-to-day operations of the property restaurant outlets, in partnership with the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Restaurant General Manager.
  • Oversee host function for restaurant outlets including the Resy system, daily management of reservations and related scheduling.
  • Open and/or close the restaurant outlets, performing and/or overseeing all related open or close tasks and responsibilities.
  • Work with the Restaurant Managers to manage menus and guest check presenters.
  • Contribute to setting and maintaining a guest service excellence for front of house staff.
  • Promote development of passion and expertise for all things food, wine, and guest experience.
  • Support delivery of proper service etiquette for the service team, working alongside to exhibit and actively coach team members to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Invest to enhance server culinary competence and table-side sales skills and confidence.
  • Support coverage needs of the restaurant service while being responsibly frugal with labor during seasonal or weekday lulls.
  • Manage assigned aspects of the floor, creating an efficient flow both front and back of house.
  • Work in tandem with hotel management team to set and achieve financial targets.
Marketing
  • Establish and extend social media channels to promote property F&B offerings.
  • Capture achievements, converting where possible to tangible display pieces for the hotel.
  • Identify and organize property participation in F&B related community events, in partnership with our property Sales team.
  • Look ahead to community events and holidays where special programming can be developed then build campaigns with supportive collateral to advertise and promote participation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Restaurant Management and Culinary leadership to identify, plan, and advertise special events such as wine maker dinners.
  • Collaborate with our Sales & Events team to oversee ticket sales and patron engagement.
The Nitty Gritty
  • Prior restaurant experience.
  • Willingness to work hours and day parts required to operate restaurant outlets.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently to analyze, interpret, and enforce regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Capacity to create and contribute to a team environment within and across departments.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office products, POS, and reservation systems.
  • Strong management skills, including time management, information analysis, planning and organizing, decision making, problem solving, and delivery of results.
  • People management skills including coaching, motivating, and relationship-building.
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
