Pay Philosophy
The minimum starting rate for this position is $18.00 Per Hour.Salaries are determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, acquired skills, experience, education, and certifications/designations. This position may be eligible for annual merit increases and participation in our bonus program
What are we looking for?
We're looking for an Accounting Specialist. In this position you would performa variety of data entry and other clerical tasks needed to record financial information into various systems and accounting software. Perform as a backup for the Accounts Payable Specialist position. This is an approximately 20 hour per week position, depending on the available workload. The hours for this position are flexible between 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday Friday.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the daily entry of journal entries and deposits into the SunGard EAS Accounting system.
• Responsible for the monthly auditing of employee credit card and expense statement filings. Also, the recapping of those filings by category into Excel worksheets.
• Responsible for scanning & renaming of numerous accounting source documents into Image Right.
• Provide assistance as needed with year-end and quarterly filings including copying, filing, and entering information for certificates of mailing etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST BACKUP ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Review vendor invoices, check requests and out of pocket reports for reasonableness, accuracy, proper coding, and authorization; enter payment information into EAS system and issue check, EFT or credit card transactions.
• Answer any queries from outside vendors and other employees regarding payment of invoices and out of pocket reimbursements. Monitors the Accounting Mailbox for any credit limit increase requests on company cards or any general credit card questions.
• Monitors vendor invoices for payment of sales tax and provides information for the filing of state Use Tax returns.
• Prepare daily Cash Balance Report for the review of Senior Management.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills with the ability to transfer information quickly and accurately.
• Strong computer and Microsoft Excel experience
