DIRECTOR OF INPATIENT NURSING – 10713

Position Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current registration as a licensed professional nurse in New York State
Bachelors Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
Certification in either nursing leadership or clinical specialty preferred
Experience:
Demonstrated 3 years progressive leadership ability
Clinical knowledge in area of responsibility preferred
Position Summary:
The Inpatient Director of Nursing maintains 24-hour accountability for leading
and managing all inpatient nursing units (ICU, Memorial 2, 4, and 6) as well as
nursing float pool (House Coverage), nursing supervision, and staffing office.
As Director of Nursing, you will be accountable for ensuring an outstanding
experience for patients and employees for continuously improving the quality of
patient care, creating a healthy workplace for staff, and overseeing clinical
and administrative functions. While the range of duties and responsibilities is
broad and varied, the position s major responsibility is directing the
day-to-day operations, budgeting, financial management, and human resource
management. As well as implementing and monitoring quality and process
improvement initiatives. Success in this role will be achieved through
visionary leadership, knowledge of present and future trends, strategic
benchmarking, and innovative interventions.
Salary Range: $34.36 – $56.72
