Primary ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Order entry, Pick-up and Delivery Scheduling - complete and accurate load details into the McLeod TMS.
- Create and maintain relationships with clients and respond to their requests in a timely manner, take responsibility for tracking and communicating pertinent information related to your loads and resolving problems.
- Execute the movement of freight to help fulfill client transportation requirements.
- Carrier / Load Track and Trace activity.
- Utilize the available tools and resources: Multiple Web Based Applications for Transportation, MS Office applications.
- Operations Reporting.
- AP/AR Admin.
- Perform cold calls, negotiate rates, solve problems, dispatch trucks, track loads and provide excellent customer service
- All employees have a responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- All employees have a responsibility to act in a safe manner; all accidents or incidents must be reported to management immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Associates degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent experience in related field.
A minimum of 3 years transportation experience is required in the brokerage industry/environment. Customer Service, Inside Sales and Brokerage Operations experience required.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have: Proficient typing and PC skills, MS Office product skills and related computer knowledge. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint knowledge preferred.
Other Skills And AbilitiesThe ability to perform well under pressure is critical. In the brokerage operation, split second decision making often makes the difference between profit and loss and providing customer satisfaction.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
