Columbian Logistics Network is Hiring a SHUTTLE SWITCH DRIVER Near Caledonia, WI

SummaryTransport materials to and from specified destinations on public streets or highways. Drive diesel powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinates repairs of equipment.
  • Communicate with customer to determine needs.
  • Coordinate work with driver pool.
  • Communicate with direct supervisor issues that may occur.
  • Assist in scheduling.
  • Drives truck to destination to meet customer requirements.
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner under all circumstances.
  • Have knowledge of and compliance with company policy and all federal, state, local laws and regulations governing the operation of company equipment
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
  • Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations
  • Prepares receipts for load picked up.
  • Maintains contact with supervisor or dispatcher to receive delivery instructions.
  • Loads and unloads truck protecting the load and equipment.
  • Inspects truck& trailer equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
  • Positions blocks and secures cargo during transit.
  • Report all accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
  • Prepares and submits daily paperwork that is legible.
  • All employees have a responsibility to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
