Job Summary
Columbus State University is seeking a Assistant Women's Soccer Coach for our women's soccer team. This is a professional position involving assisting with the administration of the intercollegiate Women's Soccer program for a NCAA Division II school.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: Assisting with providing a competitive team within the Peach Belt Conference.; Assisting with training the team.; Recruiting new players for the program.; Setting up travel.; Promoting the University athletic program through marketing.; The selected candidate will assist the Head Coach with the academic success, as well as the athletic growth and safety of student-athletes participating in the program.; Establishing a strong community involvement program.; Monitoring the academic standards of the student athletes.; Monitoring all aspects of the program to ensure compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as participating in promotions and fund-raising efforts on behalf of the intercollegiate athletic program.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications include: A bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications include: Coaching experience on the collegiate level.
Proposed Salary
The proposed annualized salary offer range approved is as follows: $36,000 - $42,000.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities include: Knowledge of athletic recruitment methods and techniques and NCAA regulations concerning student-athletes.; The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and orally.; Ability to lead and guide athletes.; Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and read and understand safety procedures.; The selected must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a diverse community.
