Colville, Inc. is Hiring a Haul truck operator Near Fairbanks, AK

Colville Inc. is seeking experienced and safety-minded Line Haul Drivers to transport fuel around the state of Alaska, most frequently from Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska.

Our Line Haul Drivers must be experienced drivers, good problem solvers, able to be self-sufficient and think clearly under stress given the possible road, weather and light conditions and hazardous nature of the load.

In this position, you will be responsible for driving single and double trailer combinations to / from the load's destination and supervising the loading and unloading of the fuel / freight to ensure load safety and monitoring its safe distribution throughout the trip.

In addition to applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and complying with federal and state trucking rules and regulations, this position requires skill in maneuvering the vehicle in difficult road and weather conditions (i.

e. narrow passageways, gravel road beds, and in all types of weather and light conditions (sunny, rain, snow, ice, fog, darkness)).

  • Alaska Commercial Driver's License (Class A) with Hazardous Materials and Tankers endorsement
  • Hold or able to acquire a TWIX card within first three months of employment
  • Five years' experience as a truck driver, Dalton Highway experience a plus
  • Clean driving record, as well as sound knowledge of truck maintenance
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws that regulate the road freight transportation industry
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
