Comcast Spectacor oversees the Wells Fargo Center and its major transformation project, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Wings lacrosse team, the Maine Mariners hockey team, the Flyers Training Center, the Seoul Infernos OWL team, and Spectacor Events and Entertainment, a growing live events business that has already brought successful, new events to the Philadelphia area.

Comcast Spectacor is headquartered at the Wells Fargo Center (WFC) in Philadelphia, PA. The WFC, the 4th most highly attended arena nationally and 7th most attended in the world is home to 270 events per year, including the Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Wings, Villanova, concerts, and events.

Job Summary

Mariners media assistants serve as game day assistants to the Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting. This is a part-time, game day only position, which touches upon aspects of social media, media relations, broadcasting, and sports information.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Cut highlights using GrabYo for real-time posting to X and postgame highlight reel
  • Assists in the social media analysis strategies using monitoring tools.
  • Operate team X account to provide game updates in real-time (away games included)
  • Conducts research as necessary.
  • Serve as media liaison in press box during game
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
