Job SummaryThe Senior Director, Strategic Insights role reports to the Executive Director, Strategy and Performance Analytics and offers a unique opportunity to lead competitive performance reporting and have a significant impact on the business. As the Senior Director of Strategic Insights, you will be a key member of the team and responsible for using strong analytical / strategic thinking to identify areas of risk and opportunity for the business. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be leveraged as insights generated will influence strategy at the highest levels. Responsible for measurement and reporting of competitive business impacts within the quarter as well as across annual and long term planning. Serves as liaison between Growth Strategy & Operations (GSO) leadership, Divisions, Finance, Marketing, Product, Pricing, and Sales organizations. Provides leadership and direction for team of managers and analysts. Collaborates cross-functionally to answer diverse and complex business questions including via multiple vendor relationships.
Job DescriptionCore Responsibilities
  • Manages and drives short and long-term headwind and tailwind analyses in partnership with Finance, and builds organizational buy-in with Divisions, Product and Marketing to create actionable recommendations for forecast assumptions.
  • Stitches together insights from various data sources (e.g. internal, competitive, pricing/promotions, consumer insights, etc.) to tell a story at executive level.
  • Analyzes aspects of financial and competitive performance, develops reporting that contributes to the development of business initiatives, and informs stakeholders of insightful trends that impact decision-making.
  • Assists Pricing and Packaging team with offer analytics and performance
  • Leads and effectively leverages cross-functional teams on new initiatives
  • Presents to senior executives on a regular basis
  • Directs the facilitation and preparation of budgets related to vendor(s).
  • Oversees the selection, training and motivation of department personnel.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work variable schedules and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Generally, requires 10 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, MBA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with senior executives with an ability to synthesize multiple analytical insights into a compelling story.
  • Strong presentations skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying key business trends and issues with a consultative application of analytical insights.
  • Strong financial and/or quantitative skills developed and demonstrated through past project experience.
  • Leadership in developing high performance teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to be involved in day-to-day activities and provide hands-on analytical support as needed.
