Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our staff as a Housekeeper. This hotel has won Choice awards 7 years in a row. This is awarded to the top 10% of the hotels based on customer reviews and yearly inspections performed by a company that Choice selects.
The housekeeper is responsible for providing a consistently clean room for the guests.
Primary Duties & Accountabilities
- Assist with stripping of dirty linen from the guest rooms.
- Clean the entire room based on Choice and the hotels standards.
- Work safely
- Keep work area neat and clean.
- Assist laundry workers in cleanliness of hotel and laundry room.
- Assist with changing and up-keeping of storage areas.
- All other duties assigned.
- Offers guests assistance whenever possible and if unable to assist the guest then let management know so they can take care of it.
- Responsible for positively representing and promoting the property.
- Ensures systems and procedures are in place and followed for guest safety and security.
- Reports any maintenance, security, or safety issues to management.
- Participates in special projects when asked for maintaining guest rooms and common areas.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of relevant work experience required.
- Previous housekeeping experience of at least 1 year is required.
- Ability to efficiently work under time constraints.
- Superior customer service skills.
- Capability to multi-task multiple projects/duties at once.
- Integrity to safeguard confidential information.
- Initiative to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to lift, push and pull 25-50 pounds frequently.
- Physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, lifting and reaching.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including working holidays and weekends. This is mandatory.
- Must have dependable transportation to and from work.
- A positive and friendly attitude towards guests and fellow employees.
- Able to work as a member of a team as well as independently.
