POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Tolead, coach and mentor direct reports and their subordinates to consistentlydeliver excellence in their undertaking as individuals and team players. Toensure commitment and accountability at all levels by maintaining a cohesiveorganization motivated to meet and exceed expectations.
• Toundertake recruiting,necessarydiscipline and termination of employees as necessary.
• Towork closely with the Safety & Quality Assurance department to establishperiodic training in order to maintain an accident free working environmentdelivering the highest quality service.
• Toensure the facilities are kept to the highest standards of safety, compliant atall times, enforcing regulations and practices to avoid accidents. To deal withoffenders in the appropriate manner in line with corporate policies. To ensurethat good housekeeping is undertaken by all employees, keeping their work areaclean and tidy at all times.
• Tostrive for continuous process improvements while ensuring compliance to FAA,safety (OSHA), legal and established corporate procedures, checks and balances.
• Toprovide frequent accurate and candid reporting to the VP Operations.
• Workingclosely with Project Managers, plan, direct, and coordinate the activities ofall maintenance departments within the repair station to ensure efficienton-time delivery of projects.
• Toensure Project Managers are clear of their resource needs through early projectplanning sessions, allowing for effective resource allocation planning incollaboration with the Production Planning department.
• Tokeep all direct reports informed of operational objectives and relevantcorporate information approved for dissemination.
• Toestablish performance metrics, goals and performance evaluation processes inline with corporate policy. The individual and department goals should beaggressive, achievable and in line with corporate strategy as delegated by theVP Operations. Ensure that all Leads, Supervisors andManagers are holding subordinates accountable for technical activities as wellas corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensure department evaluations are completed in a timely manner percorporate guidelines
• Toconduct regular meetings, clearly establishing meeting objectives and resultantactionable items.
• Tointeract as required with other operations departments including Stores andProduction Planning, also attending interdepartmental meetings as necessary.
• Towork closely with Stores to ensure sufficient parts, equipment and toolsresources are available for an efficient project delivery.
• Totake part in training and other development initiatives. To train and assisthis/her subordinates in the proper procedures, methods, and practices requiredto perform each assigned maintenance task.
• Ensurethat all maintenance technicians utilize the applicable data effective to thetask being performed.
• Ensurethat all required documentation is available to all maintenance departments andthat each mechanic properly completes each entry for work accomplished.
• Tosee to it that all equipment and tools are handled with care and kept inserviceable condition, ensuring required checks and periodic calibrations. Anyequipment problems should be documented and reported immediately to the storesfor subsequent repairs.
• Tomeets station performance and dependability targets while overseeing workloadassignments and providing feedback on the maintenance program.
• Toaggressively enforce a working environment that is safe, professional andquality driven.

• Supportthe VP Operations with other business activities as needed.
• To Lead by example at all times; throughprofessional behavior, integrity, commitment to the company and compliance withits policies.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma/GED or OJT, preferablywith an Undergraduate Degree. Holds a current mechanic certificate with bothAirframe and Powerplant Ratings, and has held these ratings for at least 5years.

EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of diversified maintenanceexperience on large aircraft with an Air Carrier, Commercial Operator orCertified Repair Station, and must have acted as an A&P Mechanic. A minimumof 3 years supervisory experience in an Air Carrier and/or Repair Stationenvironment.
