Overview:

Qualified external applicants with at least six months of direct RN experience are eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus! *

The 3rd Floor Surgical department at St. Anthony Hospital, an achieved Magnet hospital, is a 16-bed surgical unit specializing in the post-operative care for general, elective, robotic, vascular, spine surgeries, as well as patients downgrading in status from our surgical ICU.

We have a strong culture of teamwork where we pride ourselves on delivering high quality, safe patient care. Our team is a committed, caring group of colleagues who have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. Our surgical unit lends itself to developing great relationships with our coworkers and we work together to provide excellent patient care. A good candidate for the 3rd floor would be someone who prides themselves in being a team player, has a positive attitude, open communication skills, hard-working, dedicated, and accountable. We also pride ourselves in our growth pathways for our staff, and we are a great starting point for someone interested in a future in Critical Care.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:

  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 1-year clinical RN Experience
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • BSN, preferred
  • RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required
  • Nursing Specialty Certification related to the specialty is strongly preferred

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Schedule

  • 3x12 hour shifts per week with rotating weekends(1845-0715)
