CommonSpirit Health is Hiring a Clinic LPN Near Carrington, ND

Overview:

Work in the heart of #humankindess at CHI St. Alexius Health Carrington. As our Clinic LPN, you'll provide nursing care to patients in the ambulatory clinic setting, assist providers with procedures, and maintain efficient work flow of the clinic. You'll be responsible for intake of a patient's vital signs, medications, allergies, personal histories, etc. Requires strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, patient coordination, flexibility, and the ability to work well with patients, providers, vendors, and associates.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care-Performs duties such as intake of vital signs, current medications, allergies, social history, surgical history, and medical history. Assesses patients for abuse risks and suicide risks.

  • Performs procedures, administers medications, and assist patients as needed with care. Returns telephone calls and test results to patient/caregiver.

  • Office Management-Performs general office duties such as ordering supplies, stocking rooms. Management of records, monitoring outdates of supplies and medications, and monitoring providers schedules for inaccuracies.

  • Satellite Clinics-Prepare essential paperwork needed for offsite locations, monitor providers schedule, prepare needed supplies, and travel to satellite location if needed. Must have the ability to coordinate schedules for the patients and provider, with a multi-disciplinary team at both on and off site locations.

  • Computer Skills-Uses various software programs to prepare patient chart for visit, research patient history and medication usage, and utilizes EMR for pertinent information for patient visit.

  • Communication-Utilizes good communication skills because of the constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and Medical Center Staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse Degree from an approved school of nursing
  • North Dakota Licensed Practical Nurse OR compaq license that allows LPN to practice in ND.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Working knowledge of basic clinical skills in delivery of patient care. Communication proficiency, time management and flexibility required.
