CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson part of CommonSpirit Heath a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. The Director of Surgical Services is responsible for driving patient satisfaction, quality, and safety metrics as well as employee performance, competency, and engagement. This position supports the mission, vision, and philosophy of CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson.
Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Director of Surgical Services is responsible for planning, organizing and directing of the operations and staff (clinical and non-clinical) of the Surgical Services Department (Inpatient Operating Room, Outpatient Surgical Services, Anesthesia, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, Central Sterile, Endoscopy, OB, and Infusion Center); assists the Chief Finance Officer by monitoring and analyzing patient payor mix; maintains effective business relationships which promote the services of the division.
The Director is also responsible for the design, administration, and evaluation of professional nursing services within the perioperative arena in accordance with the framework established by the state nurse practice act, the perioperative scope of practice, and the standards of care in the organization in which they work.
Master's Degree strongly preferred

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | Candidates must be proficient with computers, computer applications used in the healthcare setting, and Google Suite. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English. |
