Expert in one or more Epic Data Models. Under general direction, the Senior Epic Report Writer works with internal and external customers to understand and analyze requirements and develop Epic business intelligence (BI) reporting solutions using the Epic Cogito and related 3rd party reporting and database tools.. The Senior Epic Report Writer contributes to the design, development, testing, documentation, and maintenance of reporting and analytic solutions that improve patient care, enhance patient engagement, improve operational efficiency, improve CommonSpirits financial position, and population health management. The Senior Epic Report Writer may also build new data sets and data structures as required to support business needs and regulatory requirements. The Senior Epic Report Writer will assist with strategies and visualizations that will help the team deliver a more comprehensive solution for the Organization.
Responsibilities:Provides consultation for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Designs, builds, tests, implements, and supports BI Reporting solutions to meet operational and clinical needs. Analyzes, designs, and makes recommendations to improve existing systems and/or methods, and provide written, detailed reports. Creates thorough system design and build documentation. Collaborates with other analysts, CommonSpiritstaff, vendors, and leadership. Translate high-level business requirements to detailed technical designs/documentation.
