Under the direction of the section Lead Technologist or designee the laboratory assistant is responsible for laboratory support activities. The primary functions include but are not limited to performing phlebotomy (blood collection by venipuncture or capillary) on all patients working with LIS and HIS processing of all types of biological and medical specimens and performing clerical and reception duties in the laboratory office. Applies CHW Core Values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity Collaboration Justice Stewardship and Excellence.
Medical terminology required. High School diploma. One year experience in the laboratory office. Phlebotomy certification required
