Bakersfield Memorial Hospital includes 385 general acute beds 48 licensed critical care beds 13 state-of-the-art surgical suites and a full-service Emergency Department with an Accredited Chest Pain Center and Nationally Certified Stroke Center. In addition we offer a beautiful Family Care and Birthing Center the Lauren Small Childrens Center including the areas only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Family Care Center a Level II NICU the Sarvanand Heart and Brain Center with Kern Countys first Bi-Plane Interventional Suite the Center for Wound Care and Hyperbarics and many more services. Responsibilities:

Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan The Joint Commission and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies. Provides care for patients of newborn through geriatric ages. Assists with activities of daily living provides basic care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. All activities are under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent technical training

  • 1yr experience is required.

  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of ortho technician both ED and OR preferred.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
