The Recreation Therapist performs duties within Behavioral Health Services and Hospital policies and procedures. The focus of these duties is to provide recreational educational and experimental groups within which patients and families can learn social skills daily survival activities exercise and recreational/leisure activities which promote self care and wellness behaviors. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.

• Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years experience in a psychiatric setting is required. 
• Masters (MA) Degree in Counseling Clinical Psychology Family Therapy Social Work or a Certified Recreational Therapist.
• Supervision under applicable State Laws for Associate Social Workers and Marriage Family Therapist Interns is required.
