Join our team as a Dental Assistant at Commonwealth Dentistry! We are a growing, group practice dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive staff and contribute to delivering an unmatched dental experience.
The role of a Dental Assistant is diverse and involves a combination of interpersonal and technical skills. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during various treatment procedures, taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays), asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse, serving as an infection control officer, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, helping patients feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment, providing instructions for post-treatment oral care, teaching oral hygiene strategies, taking impressions of patients' teeth, and assisting in all dental specialties.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2 years of experience in dental assisting. X-Ray Certification is preferred. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to provide compassionate patient care. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work well within a team are also important.
