Position Overview:
At Commonwealth Endodontics, the Billing Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our billing processes. Working closely with the Billing Manager, Insurance Coordinators, and other team members, you will manage key aspects of the revenue cycle, supporting patients, staff, and the practice's financial success.

- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Strong understanding of dental insurance plans and billing processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and data entry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Billing Manager to maintain accurate and timely billing processes.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before appointments.
- Accurately process and post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments to accounts.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies or denied claims.
- Assist patients by explaining their statements, insurance benefits, and payment options.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to clarify coverage issues or resolve payment delays.
- Generate and review monthly billing reports to ensure accounts receivable accuracy.
- Proactively support other billing and administrative functions as needed.
Position Responsibilities:
- Resolve insurance claim rejections and denials.
- Collect payments from patients and insurance companies.
- Ensure compliance with company policy regarding collection procedures and practices.
- Perform insurance verifications, process dental and medical insurance claims, and manage relationships with insurance carriers.
- Contact insurance companies and patients regarding coverage determinations and outstanding balances.
- Assist doctors, practice administrators, and office managers in creating financial arrangements and insurance options that meet the needs of both patients and the practice.
- Demonstrate excellent computer skills, including proficiency in practice software systems; experience with Excel is a plus.
- Possess specialized understanding and experience in handling insurance and billing matters in a medical/dental office setting.
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure professional, pleasant, and cooperative representation of the practice.
- Manage multiple deadlines and tasks efficiently and comfortably.
- Work both independently and cooperatively in team settings.
- Occasionally travel by car or plane to participate in continuing education or seminars.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned periodically.
