Work involves independent judgment in individual trade performance, various degrees of specialization depending on the location of your assignments, and may involve lead worker responsibility over carpenter helpers. You receive oral or written instructions, which are frequently accompanied by sketches or blueprints. Work is reviewed by a supervisor for compliance with specifications and standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- May change based on operational needs.
- The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.
- Overtime and travel as needed.

- Successful completion of the Building Trades Trainee program (commonwealth title); or
- Three years of experience in the construction, installation, repair, restoration, or maintenance of structures and articles made from wood, composite, and wood substitute materials; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's license.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
