Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is Hiring a Clerical Assistant 2 Near Harrisburg, PA

THE POSITION

The Department of General Services has an opening for a Clerical Assistant 2 in the Bureau of Vehicle Management. This position is responsible for timely and accurate data management of the vehicle inventory of the Commonwealths fleet, as well as providing clerical and office support within the division.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Responsibilities of this position include the following responsibilities:

  • Enter inventory information for new vehicles and special equipment purchases.
  • Assign equipment numbers to new vehicles.
  • Process automotive titles, registrations, salvage certifications, licenses, and other vehicle identification forms for the Commonwealth fleet.
  • Generate and process various reports and billings such as confidential plate run and fuel storage report.
  • Produce fuel credit cards via the current web-based applications for new vehicle assignments.
  • Input all initial and subsequent inventory and operational information for vehicles and special equipment purchases.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after completion of six months of training. This will be discussed during an interview. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $34,621 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
