DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This para-professional position is assigned to the Lycoming Children and Youth Services, Joinder Operations Unit. You will support our Joinder accounting operation by serving as the Children and Youth Accounts Payable Specialist and the Joinder Payroll processor.

Work includes managing the agency's repaid card program, participating in audits, assisting in the quality assurance of child specific data in our database, and managing the agency's fleet of vehicles.

This position is supervised by to the Joinder Fiscal Director and works in direct coordination with the Joinder Accountant.

Your collaborations with our other fiscal professionals will help you advance your skills and support our mission to ensure the health, safety, welfare, and social growth of children and youth in Lycoming County.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements :

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices, and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lycoming County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lycoming County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
