EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position offers professional and administrative work directing the rate setting and financial management activities of physical health medical assistance programs and services for the Office of Medical Assistance Programs. It also involves financial management, contract management, and rate setting for statewide capitated managed care programs in the Department of Human Services.As a Managed Care Financial Manager, you will assist with directing and monitoring the bureau’s rate setting and financial management activities involving hospitals, managed care organizations, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), the fee-for-service program fee schedule, federally qualified health centers, and rural health clinics. Work involves directing the development of policies and procedures relating to rate development, budgetary projections, third party collections, stop-loss provisions, reinsurance and other forms of risk limitation, and financial monitoring plans for managed care organizations or fee-for-service providers.Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with a minimum of one day per week in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
