Vice President of Reimbursement

CommuniCare Health Services is a fast-growing provider of long term care with over 100 facilities located in 7 states. CommuniCare is dedicated to our goal of creating Caring Communities where staff, residents and families join hands to overcome their daily challenges.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to fill the key position of Vice President of Reimbursement!

Responsibilities

  • The Vice President of Reimbursement provides executive leadership, oversight, and direction.
  • Position is responsible for regulatory filings, interpretations, and quantifications. Filings include Governmental cost reports and any related appeals.
  • Responsible for leading strategic revenue improvement initiatives to ensure that all reimbursement available is obtained in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Reports to Chief Financial Officer. Works in close collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer and the Divisional Senior Vice Presidents.
  • Develops planning strategy and helps implement the strategy though budget and planning processes. Updates strategies on an ongoing basis.
  • Represent Communicare to third party payers, regulatory agencies and trade associations regarding reimbursement practices, audit coordination, policies, and regulations

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related degree.
  • Executive-level experience leading reimbursement and regulatory reporting functions at a multi-entity complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with emphasis on budget and rate modeling and increasing revenue through improved reimbursement planning and reporting processes.
  • Successful past experiences managing complex change initiatives within reimbursement, reporting, and/or revenue management functions.
  • Broad based knowledge of Medicare program policies and procedures, HIM manual, and related reporting requirements.
  • Grasp of multiple State level reimbursement plans, including detailed understanding of all aspects of rate determination.
  • Strong analytical skills enabling complex issues to be rapidly understood and presented in an understandable manner
