Communication Academy is the recognized leader in offering Public Speaking, Debate, Writing/Reading and Math classes for K-8th graders. Our mission is to enhance students' communication skills to allow them to be more successful in all aspects of their live.

For the past 20 years we have partnered with over 50 City Recreations, School Districts, Private Schools and Home Schools to offer our classes in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We are currently looking for fun, inspiring and passionate Instructors or Teachers to teach our summer camps/classes for Public Speaking, Debate, Writing OR Math for K to 8th grade students. Summer camps are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Summer classes are for afterschool on weekdays and all day Saturdays.

Flexible Working Hours:

• Summer camps: 9:00 - 11:30 AM or 12:30 - 3:00 PM, one week/camp
• Summer Classes: Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description

• Teach Public Speaking, Debate, Writing OR Math classes for K - 8th graders (in different age groups)
• Assist students in learning to use clear and effective writing, communication and creative self-expression
• Teach from pre-planned comprehensive curriculum. NO lesson planning needed.
• Create fun and supportive environment for students to hone their communication and academic skills, and develop confidence in Public Speaking, Debate, Writing or Math
• Small class size, max of 12
• Very flexible schedule
• 12 - 30 hours/week

Qualifications:

• BA in English, Communication Studies, Education OR related fields preferred
• Minimum one year of experience in teaching, training, coaching or tutoring
• Dynamic, articulate, patient, reliable, fun loving, professional
• Enjoy working with students of all ages

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 30 per week
