As a vCTO at CommTech, you will not only strategize but also dive deep into the engineering and delivery of complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and innovative solutions. You will act as a key escalation point for technical issues, providing leadership and insight to resolve high-impact challenges. Your role will involve collaborating closely with both internal teams and clients to align technology solutions with business goals, driving significant value through technology

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic technology plans that align with the company’s business objectives.
• Actively participate in the engineering and delivery of technology projects, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for resolving complex issues in project and support tickets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
• Engage with clients to understand their business needs and propose technical solutions that provide competitive advantage and operational efficiency.
• Stay abreast of new trends and innovations in technology, applying insights to enhance service offerings.
• Drive initiatives to improve IT infrastructure, system reliability, and security.
• Mentor and develop IT staff, enhancing their skills and career paths.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CTO, Senior IT Manager, or similar leadership role in a technology environment.
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.
• Familiarity with the following technologies: Microsoft Azure, VMware, Windows Server, Fortinet, Ruckus, and Cisco.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to relay complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
• A strong strategic and business mindset.

Salary of $80k to $110k Dependent on Experience.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily knowledge-worker oriented using computer systems. Occasional exertion and lifting of up to 20 pounds to move office or computer equipment. Occasional crawling, kneeling, and squatting. Constant use of computer (keyboard/mouse), and phone. Visually inspects, prepares, and analyzes data & figures, views computer constantly. Occasional travel (car/airplane). Occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions as a result of travel.
