Summary

CFT4Bis thebrand for corporate philanthropy that encompasses CFT’s service offerings to businesses of all sizesCFT4B is a comprehensive suite of services designed to facilitate corporate giving,employee engagement, volunteer service, and more for companies that want to make a meaningful impact on the North Texas community. Research tells us that people want to work for and do business with companies that make a positive difference. CFT4B services are intended to help companies improve or enhance their corporate culture, attract and retain top talent, and make a meaningful impact on their communities, while also growing their business and expanding their networks.  

The CFT4BDirector will be responsible forbusiness development, visioning, planning and implementation of all programs designed to serve and engage CFT’s current and prospective business relationships. This includes business fund holders, members of our corporate engagement network, and fee-for-service consulting clientsPrograms andservices offered by CFT4Binclude, but are not limited to,philanthropic consulting, grantmaking, employee giving campaigns, volunteer projects,donation drives, community convenings and networking opportunities. The position will be expected to leveragethe time, talent and treasure of the business community to make a meaningful, measurable impact.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and secure new business relationships, members, sponsors, and in-kind donors, while also retaining and growing existing relationships with corporate fund holders, members of our corporate engagement network, and consulting clients.
  • Cultivate and manage a portfolio of existing and prospective business clients.
  • Develop, implement and execute CFT4B’s fundraising, business development goals and strategies in collaboration with the Chief Relationship Officer.
  • Partner with the Chief Relationship Officer in developing and tracking metrics for evaluating the impact of CFT4B’s programs and services.
  • Collaborate with CFT’s Marketing and Communications staff to develop and implement a marketing and public relations strategy to raise the profile and awareness of CFT4B in the corporate community, including but not limited to, promotional materials, electronic communications, advertising, website, print, broadcast and social media channels.
  • Manage strategic external partnerships with professional associations and community-based organizations that can assist CFT by enhancing and/or marketing our corporate programs and services. 
  • Guide and advise business executives and their employees on the strategic development, planning and implementation of community engagement programs.
  • Represent CFT externally with donors, business executives, community leaders, nonprofit organizations and the community at large.
  • Work in collaboration with other members of CFT’s Relationships Department (Donor Relations/Development, Donor Services, Collin County, etc.) to broadly promote philanthropy and community involvement within the business community.
  • Identify and implement best practices related to program management, business processes and relationship management in order to effectively and efficiently serve CFT4B clients and partners.
  • Manage and develop the CFT4B team, which includes two full-time staff members responsible for executing CFT4B’s programs and services in support of the Foundation’s overall strategic goals and priorities.
  • Develop and manage CFT4B’s annual expense budget.

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of corporate experience, ideally with specific experience in business development or corporate philanthropy.
  • Knowledge, experience and relationships with North Texas companies, business leaders and corporate networking organizations.
  • Knowledge of the local nonprofit sector encouraged, but not required.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in leading and building high-performing teams, including establishing a vision and then motivating both teams and individuals to action.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency in public speaking and presentations.
  • Proven competency in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications, such as Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or similar system preferred. 
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in all duties listed above.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently, manage deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates a strong desire to participate, learn and contribute with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Highly motivated and energized by public service, as well as by working with others to help them make meaningful contributions to the community.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, time management, professional and interpersonal skills.
