Summary:

Kaleidoscope Park in Frisco, Texas, is seeking an experienced Programs and Events Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of public events at the park. The Events Manager will primarily focus on organizing public events while also coordinating private events in partnership with the nearby hotel. This role is pivotal in creating engaging and memorable experiences for park visitors and fostering partnerships with the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of public events at Kaleidoscope Park, including festivals, concerts, cultural celebrations, education, fitness classes, and community gatherings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, sponsors, and community partners to conceptualize and coordinate public events, ensuring a diverse and engaging event calendar.
  • Develop event budgets, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage event expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
  • Coordinate with the nearby hotel to organize private events, such as weddings, corporate functions, and special occasions, leveraging the park's amenities and scenic backdrop.
  • Oversee event logistics, including setup, staffing, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance, to ensure smooth event operations.
  • Evaluate event success through attendee feedback, post-event analysis, and performance metrics, and implement improvements for future events.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, partners, sponsors, and the local community to enhance the park's reputation as a premier event destination.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance event experiences and offerings at the park.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to event staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in event management, with a focus on public events, preferably in a park, entertainment, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in event management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of event planning best practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience in coordinating private events and partnerships with hotels or hospitality venues is desirable.
