Community Action Marin is Hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist - Bilingual Near San Rafael, CA

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will play a critical role in enhancing our online presence and digital communication strategies. You will be responsible for creating compelling content, managing our social media accounts, and optimizing our digital marketing campaigns. Your work will directly contribute to our mission by engaging the community, attracting supporters, and amplifying our message for greater impact. Primary Responsibilities


Social Media Strategy and Implementation

  • Manage all social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads).
  • In conjunction with Senior Manager of Marketing & Digital Media, develop and execute a digital content calendar to increase CAM’s visibility, community engagement, and general fundraising.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital channels.

Content Creation and Engagement

  • Create digital content (social media posts, videos, reels, blogs, e-newsletters, etc.) that aligns with the vision and mission of the agency.
  • Engage with social media followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a community-led movement building focus on social media, positioning CAM as the leading anti-poverty agency in Marin.
  • Develop and execute paid social media campaigns.

Email Marketing

  • Create and distribute email marketing campaigns to communicate with donors, volunteers, and supporters with targeted approaches.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing performance data to optimize campaigns and drive results.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends and best practices to continuously improve strategies and tactics.
  • Bilingual – Fluency in English & Spanish required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong portfolio in graphic design, photography, and video production.
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices.
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and editing skills, with ability to effectively distill complexities into simple messages.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take constructive feedback while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a high level of integrity in all interactions.
  • Passion for social justice, equity, and community advocacy is a must.
  • Ability to work onsite with flexibility of working remotely up to 2 days per week.
  • Must be able to travel within Marin County at least one day per week to visit our sites and programs (mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Must have valid and current California Driver’s License with reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

  • Bend: flexion of the upper trunk forward while standing and knees extended, or knees flexed when sitting
  • Lift: exertion of physical strength to move objects 10-25lbs from one level to another
  • Carry: hold or rest weighted objects 10-25lbs directly on hands, arms, shoulders or back while moving from one location to another
  • Climb: ascend/descend with gradual or continuous progress, using both hands and feet
  • Push: exertion of force on or against an object (weight/size) to move it from one location to another.
  • Feel: perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin
