Community Action Partnership of Lancaster County... is Hiring a Domestic Violence Resident Assistant-2nd Shif Near Lancaster, PA

Position Title: Domestic Violence Resident Assistant PT 2nd shift

Program: Domestic Violence Services (DVS)

Classification: Part time; Non-Exempt

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITIES

  • Hotline and Text line: Answer hotline calls and texts and manage Lethality Assessment Program calls. Provide person-centered trauma-informed support, safety planning options and referrals to callers/DV survivors. Complete hotline forms/intakes, enrollments, and program exits. Perform conflict checks.
  • Communication/Compliance: Communicate essential information to other DVS team members in appropriate logs. Accurately record client data and services, and all other required data in client database per funder and DVS requirements.
  • Client Services: Assist residents with requests for personal items, access to transportation, food, and any other emergent/basic needs. Provide consistent person-centered and trauma-informed emotional support.
  • Teamwork: Safe House team member. Participate in the required holiday and weekend on-call Safe House coverage per DVS policies.
  • Stock bathroom and kitchen supplies. Inspect, clean, and prepare empty guestrooms for the next resident. Help manage the general cleanliness and order of the Safe House office area.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree in the social sciences OR H.S. Diploma (or its equivalent) with relevant experience. Residential services experience preferred. Strong customer service skills.
  • Bilingual skills, English and Spanish, are strongly preferred.
  • Ability to remain calm in busy and stressful situations.
  • General proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Desire to participate in a supportive, empowering culture that celebrates diversity.
