Community Assessment & Treatment Services is Hiring a Care Management Specialist - 1st Shift/Part-Time/Weekends Near Wadsworth, OH

Care Management Specialist - Shift differential pay for 2nd and 3rd shifts
Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, Care Management Specialists (CMS) are responsible for all matters relating to the safety and security of employees, residents, and visitors. CMS’ is directly responsible for ensuring the continual accountability of assigned residents, and a safe and secure environment for treatment and rehabilitation. CMS supervises drug and alcohol testing, visitation, recreation, laundry procedures, cleaning, transportation services, and other related duties as required for the residential population. CMS’ is expected to participate in other facility activities that foster a safe and secure environment that is conducive to the goals and mission of Community Assessment and Treatment Services.
Credentials/Academic Requirements:
  • Proof of High School Diploma or equivalent must be provided.
  • At least one (1) year of experience working cooperatively with others in a human service setting.
  • Ability to consent to and pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment & recovery, consumer engagement, healthcare, social services, and criminal justice systems.
  • Work experience that required the ability to implement effective operations, and the supervision of others which may have included security officers, military service, corrections, coaching, counseling, and the application of both positive and negative sanctions to facilitate behavior modification.
  • Experience with adult offender/inmate/resident supervision and discipline preferred.
  • Interpersonal communication skills require courtesy and tact when dealing with other staff, criminal justice agencies, local organizations, and the general public. Must be able to deal with residents and their families in a tactful, yet firm, fair, and consistent manner.
  • Experience with handling emergencies and potentially dangerous situations; ability to remain cool under pressure; ability to deal with aberrant behavior.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing; read, understand, and write reports, memos, and policies.
  • Basic understanding of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, email, and agency electronic medical record system.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Training or experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment & recovery, consumer engagement, healthcare, social services, and criminal justice systems; preferred.
  • CDCA preferred.
  • Experience with adult and/or juvenile offender/inmate/resident supervision and discipline preferred;
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a BCII/FBI background check, drug screen, and obtain a Medicaid billing number.

CATS - An Overview CATS manages numerous programs targeted to a variety of specific populations. We offer multiple levels of care ranging from outpatient to residential services.
