Community Campus Coalition is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Newark, OH

Job Title: Office Administrator

Organization: Community Campus Coalition (formerly Ohio Campus Compact), 1179 University Drive, Newark, OH 43055

Type: Part-time hourly employee position, approximately 20 hours per week M-F, flexible time between 9am-5pm

Position reports to: Community Campus Coalition Executive Director 

Community Campus Coalition (Triple C) (formerly Ohio Campus Compact) is a statewide non-profit coalition of college and university presidents and their campuses along and community organizations working to promote and develop the civic purposes of higher education. 

Office Administrator Responsibilities 

  • Facilitate communication between Triple C and its community and campus partners and other groups or individuals associated with our programming; 
  • Maintain and update databases and contact information of community and campus partners, donors and other contacts; 
  • Oversee recruitment of new community and campus partners and the annual partnership renewal process;
  • Review billing data, payroll, and invoices to maintain checks and balances;
  • Assist the Executive Director with Triple C Board of Directors and Advisory Council management and communication; 
  • Provide support to Executive Director for inquiries from community and campus partners and others;
  • Provide logistical assistance and support for events, trainings, meetings and webinars including identifying and booking spaces, securing A/V and food, setting up registration, and working with staff to ensure program needs are met; 
  • Support AmeriCorps Student Resource Center program initiatives and staff;
  • Respond to phone calls and emails and process mail;
  • Promote and oversee Triple C’s award programs; 
  • Schedule appointments and meetings and arrange travel for Triple C staff, as needed;
  • Carry out general administrative duties including filing, copying, mailing, etc;
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies; 
  • Assist staff with other administrative tasks, as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to create and sustain strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success in working with diverse stakeholders and state and national networks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge or experience with Triple C and its civic mission.
  • Previous experience in the nonprofit or higher education sector(s).
  • Strong interest and experience in community engagement, civic engagement and community service/service-learning.
  • Knowledge and interest in working with higher education professionals.
  • Experience with event planning and communicating with diverse audiences. 
  • Experience using Canva, Constant Contact, MS Office, QuickBooks Online, and Google Workspace. 

Technical Skills

This position will utilize an office-based PC laptop, and candidates should possess the ability to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Canva, QuickBooks Online, and Google Workspace.

Small, hardworking, passionate staff committed to increasing college student participation in community and civic engagement by building a collaboration of campuses and community organizations. Work space is based at The Ohio State University Newark and Central Ohio Technical College in Newark, Ohio. Occasional meetings, campus visits and hosting of professional development at sites throughout Ohio.
