Community Care Ambulance a leading provider of emergency and non-emergency medical transportion is looking for an experienced Fleet Mechanic to repair and maintain the ambulance fleet to ensure safety and reliability measured at minimum by achieving compliance with Ohio Department of Public Transportation (ODPS), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and all governing entities; and, meet or exceed customer demand. Job Duties
Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction.
Inspect vehicles to determine overall condition.
Repair non-engine automotive or vehicle components.
Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Adjust vehicle components according to specifications.
Inspect mechanical components of vehicles to identify problems.
Confer with staff to assess problems.
Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Service heating, ventilation or air-conditioning (HVAC) systems or components.
Service both gas and diesel engines.
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification - preferred
3 - 5 years’ experience of professional vehicle maintenance to include preventative maintenance and repairs on gas and diesel engines, climate control, and electrical.
High School Diploma/GED
