We are seeking a Full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team. This person will be responsible for managing overnight care for patients in the hospital/ICU. The ideal candidate must be mature, motivated, and have excellent communication skills. We offer great benefits after 60 days of employment.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-5 yrs previous technical experience is essential.
- The ability to multi-task and work independently
- Attention to detail
- Comfort and experience with computers
- Positive outlook and ability to follow written and verbal communications.
- Ability to maintain patient records
Skills Required:
- Small animal restraint and handling
- Basic and advanced nursing care
- Venipuncture and IV catheterization must be mastered
- Ability to calculate and administer specific medications
- Lab sample handling and running in-house lab equipment
- Anesthesia monitoring and troubleshooting
- General knowledge of veterinary medicine, including basic knowledge of emergency medicine and procedures
