Community College of Baltimore County is Hiring an Analyst, HRIS and Records Near Catonsville, MD

Class Description

The Analyst, HRIS & Records supports the administration of HRIS and record keeping functions for employee files, both electronic and paper, in various Human Resources systems. 

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and two years of HRIS related experience. Experience with employee information systems, such as Ellucian’s Banner and/or online benefits enrollment systems required. Experience in higher education preferred. Experience with Human Resources file management systems required.

Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale

Class Specific Essential Duties
  1. Maintains all employee personnel files, both electronic and paper.
  2. Manages electronic and physical records functions throughout employee life cycle.
  3. Supports HRIS functions through process review and improvement; report creation and maintenance; and data tracking and reporting
  4. Enhances Records functions through process review and improvement

Position Specific Essential Duties
  1. Organizes, manages, and maintains confidential personnel and human resources information files electronically, including new hires, status changes, and terminations/retirements. 
  2. Maintains, compiles, and files all employee information, both electronic and paper in various systems. Enters and updates data to create and update employee file information.
  3. Develops, implements, and maintains processes for reporting structure details for semi-annual organizational chart production.
  4. Develops, implements, and maintains processes associated with tracking various HR metrics. Tracks personnel actions for data requests and reporting requirements.
  5. Submits work orders for report creation and updates. Validates results prior to approving reports for production environment. 
  6. Responds to records requests and file reviews from internal and external stakeholders. Communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  7. Provides support and assistance for existing processes and new initiatives. Recommends improvements to HR processes and systems.
  8. Assists with performance evaluation collection and recordation. 
  9. Assists with part time employment termination form collection, validation, and distribution.
