Description

Purpose:

The purpose of this position is to provide clinical and programmatic leadership for the Youth Outpatient Services treatment team based at C4’s North Ave location and assist with the overall functioning of C4’s Youth and Family Services department. The Supervisor shall perform supervisory duties that ensure the quality of clinical work and advance staff to further levels of competency.

Location and Work Conditions:

The position is office-based work at the North Ave location, with occasional travel to other C4 sites.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Trains and supervises clinicians to procedures and clinical functions
  2. Provides weekly reflective supervision to clinicians and schedules administrative supervision as needed
  3. Ensures documentation quality, completion and compliance at all times, as well as monitors timelines and agency policies and procedures according to C4’s guidelines
  4. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and accreditation requirements related to service delivery policies, practices, and reporting standards
  5. Responsible for performance feedback and formal evaluation, and disciplinary action in consultation with direct supervisor
  6. Develops, coaches, guides, and determines individual performance expectations for direct reports
  7. Monitors, manages, and is accountable for direct service time goals and concerns of direct reports
  8. Initiates, cultivates and maintains professional relationships within C4 to enhance communications, support, and service alignment
  9. Maintains compliance with confidentiality policies and procedures
  10. Maintains positive and mutually respectful relationships with other human service providers, entitlement agencies, health care vendors, and the community
  11. Assists with outcome measures
  12. Attends clinical meetings and trainings
  13. Leads team meetings and group consultations
  14. Maintains a small caseload of their own
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  2. LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT, or plans to obtain licensure in the next 6 months
  3. At least 3 years of experience providing youth and families clinical services

Competencies (Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Experience):

  1. Working knowledge of community-based mental health operational management
  2. Detailed and current knowledge of trauma-informed mental health principles and practices
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills
  4. Clinical competencies, including family therapy
  5. Knowledge of and ability to reflective supervision
  6. Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral skills to communicate effectively with all levels of organizational leadership, employees, governmental and community representatives, and vendors
  7. Ability to develop solutions to problems and to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
  8. Ability to cooperate within a team
  9. Adherence to confidentiality practices and procedures
  10. Demonstrated ability to be respectful of the diverse cultures of the people served and to provide anti-racist, culturally appropriate, competent and individualized treatment in accordance with each client’s age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, and culture
  11. Ability to present a positive image of C4 to clients and visitors
  12. Ability to work under stress and successfully handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  13. Ability to resolve issues objectively and maintain strict confidentiality
  14. Ability to deal with ambiguity and changing organizational needs
