Role Description

This is a contract role for an Optometrist based in Rifle or Pueblo, CO. The Optometrist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual disorders, prescribing eyeglasses, repairing/adjusting/fitting glasses, and providing patient education. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
• State licensure to practice as an Optometrist
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to obtain BLS certification and complete other required trainings
• Experience in conducting comprehensive eye exams and diagnosing visual disorders
• Knowledge of ocular diseases and treatments
• Ability to prescribe eyeglasses
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records
• Ability to work well within a team and independently
• Previous experience in a similar clinical setting is beneficial
• Ability to perform retinoscopy
• Have a moonlighting professional liability insurance
