Community Health Partnership of Illinois is a is a non-profit organization that provides primary health care to migrant farmworkers and other medically underserved populations throughout northern and central Illinois that specializes in primary preventative medical, dental, and behavioral health service. Our focus is delivering quality, culturally responsive health care services to our patients, caregivers, and partners in the communities we serve
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our finance team. The Accountant I will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger accounts, financial statements, and other financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including analyzing financial data and providing recommendations for improvement
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries
  • Prepare and review financial reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures
  • Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred
  • 2 years of experience in accounting or finance role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and organized
