About The RoleThe Practice Manager is responsible for personnel management and oversight of the daily operations of the new geriatric clinic and Skilled Nursing embedded staff. The manager is responsible for adherence of all Community Health policies and procedures. They are also responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating all staff and activities of the practice(s) to provide high quality, cost-effective care. The manager will have an understanding and comply with all current skilled nursing home regulations, working with the SNF site leadership to provide all necessary requirements. This role will be a partner with the Associate Medical Director, Skilled Nursing Facility leadership and community partners.
Current staffing is 1.5 MD’s, 4 NP, 1 PA-C and 4 clinical support staff. Expansion of the geriatric line will add approximately 5 new employees.
Functions Of The Position
  • Selects, hires, trains, coach, and counsel personnel as required to ensure efficient and effective office work.
  • Manages and coordinates all staff/provider schedules.
  • Supports and upholds established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control, and codes and requirements of accreditation and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures that office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care.
  • Coordinates day to day operations at the sites.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness and modifying activities, as necessary. Ensures that the office is staffed appropriately.
  • Develops and maintains working, collaborative relationships with SNF Administrators
Skills Required For Success
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Preferred degree in Health or Business Administration.
  • Five years of operational management experience.
  • Knowledge of fiscal management practices and human resource management techniques.
  • Knowledge of governmental regulations and reimbursement requirements.
